Silambarasan TR and Hansika Motwani will be seen sharing screen space once again in Maha after their 2015 film, Vaalu, under debutant U. R. Jameel’s direction, who is a former associate of Romeo Juliet, Bogan, and Bhoomi fame Lakshman. Billed to be a thriller drama, the upcoming film produced by Mathiyalagan V's Etcetera Entertainment banner will see Simbu in an extended cameo and he will be appearing for nearly forty minutes in the role of a pilot. The STR and Hansika pairing right from Vaalu has won the hearts of audiences and the makers of Maha are leaving no stone unturned in teasing fans about what's in store when the film hits screens worldwide on Friday, July 22.
In the latest Maha sneak peek, we see Simbu and Hansika contemplating religious conversion as the former is a Muslim in the film, while the latter is a Christian. The promo starts off with Hansika asking STR why she should be the one to convert to his religion and he responds by saying there's no need for any such thing and it is solely her choice to choose her faith. Likewise, Silambarasan also informs Hansika that their child ought to first be a good human being and not focus on being a Christian or a Muslim.
The new Maha sneak peek sheds a big light on the characterization of STR and Hansika's roles in the film and we can expect plenty of more such high-profile moments between the two stars. Despite several release delays, fans have shown a great deal of interest in the film, which has Srikanth of Roja Kootam, April Maadhathil, Poo, and Nanban fame alongside a supporting cast featuring the likes of Karunakaran, Thambi Ramaiah, Baby Manasvi, among others. Apart from being Hansika's milestone 50th venture, Maha is also a landmark film for Ghibran and is his 25th project as a composer.
