Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra is known among fans as the man behind several notable Hindi films like Parinda, 1942: A Love Story, Kareeb to name a few while also serving as producer on Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK and most recently, the blockbuster Sanjay Dutt biopic, Sanju. His upcoming film, Shikara, will mark his comeback to Hindi cinema as a director after the 2007 film, Eklavya: The Royal Guard, and is also his first directorial after debuting in Hollywood in 2015 with the film, Broken Horses.
Apart from directing Shikara, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has produced and edited the romantic period drama film under his Vinod Chopra Films in association with Fox Star Hindi, which will be arriving in theatres worldwide on February 7. The plot of Shikara is set around the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir with promotions for the film being carried in an extensive manner along with an intense trailer released not long back.
With less than two weeks for the film to hit screens, the second trailer for Shikara has now been officially released on YouTube. Newcomers Aadil Khan and Sadia have been paired in Shikara, which has music composed by Sandesh Shandilya and Abhay Sopori while the film's background score has been done by A. R. Rahman and Qutub-E-Kripa.
