Popular Canadian actress Shay Mitchell, best known for playing the lead character Emily Fields on the smash hit American mystery thriller drama series Pretty Little Liars, has announced that she is expecting her second child with long-time boyfriend Matte Babel. The actress who is currently starring in the Netflix psychological thriller series, You, shared the joyous news on social media with photos of her baby bump. Posting the pictures, Mitchell penned a heart-warming caption and said, "Saying goodbye to a loved one while simultaneously experiencing the joy of welcoming another into this world is the great cycle of life. It is also my most challenging season to date."

Mitchell continues, "I can’t help but think this was the universe’s plan all along, knowing I would need otherworldly joy to cushion the blow of losing one of the most important people in my life. Yet, this is proof that love, life and loss can profoundly exist all at the same time. Gram, I miss you every day. Little one, we are so excited to meet you. I breathe a sigh of peace knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic way." The actress references her grandmother, who passed away recently, at the beginning of her caption. It is to be noted that Mitchell is already a parent to a 2-year-old baby Atlas with Babel, with the couple announcing the arrival of their first child in October 2019. Check out the post below:

In an interview with E! News last August, Shay Mitchell spoke about making the decision to have children out of wedlock with her TV presenter boyfriend Matte Babel. The couple has been dating since 2017, with Mitchell informing sometime back that they don't plan to get married anytime soon. Mitchell said, "There's no pressure here." She further added, "I love it. I love the fact that we come home and every day I'm like, 'I choose you and you choose me.' It keeps us on our toes. I'm like, 'Hey, I can walk out. I don't need to go through a lawyer, I can just walk out.' And same with him. It keeps it sexy."
