Actor Jiiva is set to have a great 2020 as the star will be seen in four films among which are the action venture, Seeru, the political drama, Gypsy, Kalathil Santhipom alongside Arulnithi and the mutli-lingual sports drama film, '83, based on the Indian national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Among them, his Seeru, produced under Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner will be the first to hit screens and has been directed by Rathna Siva of Rekka fame.
Promotions for the film have been going on for a while now with the makers now releasing the much-awaited Seeru trailer, which has Jiiva once again flexing his muscles in an action role. Initially planned for a 2019 release, Seeru releasing worldwide on February 7 has music by D. Imman with the film also starring actress Riya Suman playing the female lead and popular Telugu actor Navdeep as the antagonist.
The film also includes a large supporting cast among whom are names like Puppy hero Varun, Sathish, Goli Soda fame Chandhini, Merku Thodarchi Malai’s Gayathri, RNR Manohar, ‘Lollu Sabha’ Swaminathan, Kadhal Saravanan, Frank and a few others. D. Imman's songs in Seeru, especially the 'Sevvanthiye' track sung by the visually-challenged singer Thirumoorthy, has received a huge response from fans online.
