Comedian turned hero Santhanam's Dikkiloona is all set for its grand premiere on September 10 on the ZEE5 Tamil OTT platform. Being released on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi, the upcoming film billed to be a fun-filled science-fiction entertainer has been directed by debutant Karthik Yogi and is a joint production venture of Rajesh Kotapadi's KJR Studios and Balloon director Sinish’s Soldiers Factory banners and features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. With promotions for the film being done in an active manner, the makers have now released the Dikkiloona sneak peek, centered around Santhanam, who is given company by fellow comedian Yogi Babu.
The new Dikkiloona sneak peek reveals primarily around a group of scientists attempting to start a time machine until Santhanam and Yogi Babu come across an unexpected situation. In the scene, we see Yogi Babu getting electrocuted and assumed dead by Santhanam and the scientists among whom also includes the late Arun Alexander âof Maanagaram and Bigil fame. Towards the end of the sneak peek, we see Yogi Babu waking up after getting knocked out unconscious and revealing a formula to start the time machine.
Expectations for Dikkiloona are quite high considering it will see Santhanam in triple roles for the first time in his career and the film also has Anagha of Natpe Thunai fame and Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja heroine Shirin Kanchwala as the female leads. The film also boasts of a large supporting cast featuring names like former Indian cricket team cricketer Harbhajan Singh, followed by Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Munish Kanth, Motta Rajendiran, Chitra Lakshmanan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Shah Ra and YouTuber Prashanth among others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has churned out tunes in Dikkiloona that cater primarily to the youths, while also including the smash hit 'Per Vachaalum Vaikkaama' song composed by his father and legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja from 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's 1990 blockbuster Michael Madana Kama Rajan.
