Produced by Drumsticks Productions, the film has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead, marking her second outing with Arun Vijay after Mafia: Chapter 1. Apart from Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the film also features several other notable actors including the likes of Radikaa Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, KGF fame Garuda Ram, Rajesh, Cook with Comali fame Pugazh, Ammu Abhirami, Thalaivasal Vijay, Bose Venkat, Imman Annachi, Aishwarya, Rama, and others.
Having said that, the makers have now made a big change in the casting and here is what you need to know. Prakash Raj who was signed to play a very important role in the film has now been replaced by Samuthirakani who has already started to shoot for his portions. Prakash Raj recently injured his right shoulder while shooting for another film and due to the same, he could not take part in the shoot of AV 33, as planned. Prakash Raj is said to have suggested director Hari to go ahead with the shoot with another actor and after several discussions, the makers roped in Samuthirakani to play Prakash Raj's role.
Samuthirakani has been shooting for his portions for the last one week and he will be seen playing Arun Vijay's elder brother in the film. After completing the ongoing schedule in Palani, the makers will move to Rameswaram for the next leg of shoot. On the technical side, AV 33 has cinematography by Gopinath, editing by Anthony, art direction by Michael, and stunt choreography by Anl Arasu.
