Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran is all set for a grand opening in theatres starting April 14 and the excitement surrounding the mass action entertainer is huge considering it is the actor-filmmaker's first big venture after Muni 4: Kanchana 3, which turned out to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2019. Blockbuster Tamil films producer S. Kathiresan of Five Star Creations is making his directorial debut with the highly-anticipated pan-Indian film, which also includes youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the female lead, while Sarathkumar is appearing as a deadly antagonist. With the audio launch ceremony held in a grand manner at the Chennai Trade Centre on Wednesday, April 5, the makers have now released the much-awaited Rudhran trailer and it packs in a punch from the beginning to end.
The Rudhran trailer doesn't waste any time in informing us what we're in store for when the film is launched in cinemas in the next few days, Right from the beginning, we see Lawrence in peak action mode serving a fitting reply in the form of big and power-packed punches and thus giving us an idea about how he is not one to be messed with. The visuals then shift to the romance between Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar, and the smash hit recreation of the yesteryear classic hit 'Paadatha Pattellam' song showing us the duo taking to the floor and delighting us with their dance. We also get an introduction of Sarathkumar in the Rudhran trailer as an out-and-out dastardly and ruthless villain, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and is seen eventually pitted in a one-on-one head-to-head fist fight with Lawrence.
Raghava Lawrence's Rudhran trailer hits all the commercial parameter checkboxes - be it action, romance, comedy and sentiment - producer Five Star Kathiresan is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that audiences across all ages will be in theatres to witness the massive action feast he has packaged. The film also includes songs composed by National Award-winning music director G. V. Prakash Kumar, with the background score work done by Sam C. S., while the 'Paadatha Pattellam' song has been recreated by Dharan Kumar. S. Kathiresan will be hoping to high note with Rudhran as in line with his past box office hits like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Jigarthanda, and last year's Diary.
