Blockbuster Telugu director S.S. Rajamouli's RRR is the talk of the nation as it will be the filmmaker's next after the gargantuan commercial success of his Baahubali franchise. Yet another pan-Indian venture, the upcoming period action drama starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR is scheduled for a massive worldwide theatrical release on January 7, 2022, with promotions already in top gear. Produced under the DVV Entertainment banner, fans have been keeping a close watch on all announcements, with the response to the promotional material released so far being nothing short of astounding. In that light, S. S. Rajamouli took to social media on Monday and dropped the much-awaited RRR trailer update informing fans that it will be releasing on December 3.
Labeled as the RRR trailer day, it will no doubt be one of the biggest events in Indian cinema in recent times as the film has been made at an estimated mammoth budget of 350 crore and the shooting videos, promos and the songs have teased visuals aplenty, including the grand scope that awaits fans when it finally arrives in theatres early next year. RRR has been a film highly-anticipated as it has already witnessed several release delays owing to the pandemic, with fans now gearing up to begin their celebrations they had put off all this time. Releasing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, RRR featuring music by MM Keeravanai has a talented star cast featuring the likes of Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt playing the female lead. The film's ensemble cast includes Ajay Devgn, Tamil actor Samuthirakani, actress Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Rajeev Kanakala, among others in pivotal roles, while Irish actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody have been cast as the antagonists. RRR is based on India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju who is portrayed by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Jr NTR, with the Tamil version of the film being released by blockbuster banner Lyca Productions.
