The 64th Annual Grammy Awards was a treat as it is every year. Singers, songwriters, musicians, producers, and everyone who is a part of the industry are invited from all over the world to this prestigious event to celebrate the best of music. It's an event that recognizes the best of the best each year and rewards them with the esteemed Grammy Award.

A lot of prominent names such as Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler the Creator, Bruno Mars, Ye, etc. among others were declared winners and received the gilded gramophone. Two artists caught the attention of Indians all over the world -- Rickey Kej and Falguni Shah. At the 64th Annual Grammy Awards held today (April 4) in Las Vegas, Rickey Kej earned his second coveted gramophone trophy in the best new album category for Divine Tides his collaboration with The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, while Falguni Shah, known by her stage name Falu, won her first Grammy Award for A Colorful World in the best children's album category.

Rickey Kej was born in the US but moved back to India, the country of his parent's birth. Rickey Kej, who is now based out of Bengaluru, won his first Grammy in 2015 in the best new age album category for Winds of Samsara. He greeted the audience with a namaste when he went on stage to receive the accolade. He took to Instagram and wrote alongside a picture with Copeland in a post to convey his gratitude, "So grateful to have won the Grammy Award for our album Divine Tides. Absolutely love this living legend standing next to me – Stewart Copeland. Love all of you too! This is my 2nd Grammy Award and Stewart’s 6th”.

On the other hand, Falguni Shah is a Mumbai-born singer who later went to the US to make her career in music which she did. She also took to Instagram to thank the Recording Academy, which conducts the Grammys, for the win. “I have no words to describe today’s magic. What an honor to perform for the opening number of the GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony, and then take home a statue on behalf of all the incredible people who worked on A Colorful World. We are humbled and thank the Recording Academy for this tremendous recognition. THANK YOU!” the Mumbai-born singer wrote.
