The young starlet Rashmika Mandanna has a very huge fan following despite having acted in just a handful of movies! She has made a huge mark on the youth with her bubbly performances and is currently one of the most wanted actors across languages. Though she made her acting debut in Kannada movies, she is one of the leading actresses in Tollywood and is awaiting the release of her maiden Tamil venture too! Recently, she hit the headlines after officials from the Income Tax Department reportedly raided her properties in her hometown of Virajpet, near Coorg, in Karnataka!

Different sections of the media are reporting various outcomes from the raid and most of them state that the IT Department officials seized an unaccounted sum of Rs. 25 Lakhs and also took with them about four boxes full of documents. Rashmika was summoned to be present during the raid and also for interrogation and she is said to have rushed to Virajpet, from Hyderabad! The officials grilled Rashmika as well as her parents Madan Mandanna and Suman Mandanna. Rashmika refused to speak to the media but some reports state that Suman revealed details about the raid.

Suman Mandanna has reportedly stated that there was nothing serious and that it was just a regular raid. She added that the family has co-operated fully with the IT Department and would continue to do so. Rashmika had to rush back to Hyderabad for her movie commitments. Recent reports have emerged revealing Rashmika's manager as stating that the raid by the IT Department was on Rashmika's father's properties and not on the Geetha Govindam actress herself.
