Popular rapper and Bollywood films singer Raftaar and interior decorator Komal Vohra have parted ways after six years of marriage and filed for divorce in 2020, as per a report by Hindustan Times. The former couple had applied for divorce around the time of the pandemic but will be signing on the final papers this October. A source close to the daily has stated, "Everything was delayed due to the pandemic. They will sign the divorce papers on October 6", while adding that problems surfaced between the two "only a few days after their marriage". The source also said, "Both have moved on in their respective lives and the couple, along with their families, remain cordial." Both Raftaar and Komal have also unfollowed each other on social media, deleting their pictures together on their respective pages. An official statement from the couple is now awaited.
Raftaar and Komal Vohra first met each other at a friend's place in 2011 and tied the knot in 2016 after dating for five years. The popular rapper had announced the news of his marriage by posting a photo from their wedding ceremony on social media, writing, "Married to my soulmate." Raftaar, who goes by his real name Dilin Nair, is known best for his work in songs like 'Dhup Chik', 'Go Pagal', 'Toh Dishoom', 'Swag Mera Desi', 'Instagram Love', 'All Black' and the remix of 'Haseeno Ka Deewana' to name notable few. He also sang the smash hit 'Dhaakad' track in Aamir Khan's Dangal and most recently the rap portions for the 'Badle Badle' (the Hindi version of 'Pathala Pathala') in Kamal Haasan's box office blockbuster Vikram. He last crooned the title song of Nushratt Bharucha’s Janhit Mein Jaari and is also known for his appearances over the years as a gang leader on the reality show, MTV Roadies.
