Leading Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda was seen limping post his knee surgery while leaving the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. A video posted on social media by a paparazzo account shows the actor with a bandage on his right leg and exiting the hospital with the help of a walker. Randeep, who is seen in a red T-shirt, blue shorts, a cap, and sandals, had sustained an injury on his knee during the shooting of his upcoming series Inspector Avinash.
After returning home, Randeep posted a picture during his time in the hospital on his Instagram account. In the image, he can be seen lying on the hospital bed in the patient's attire and looking sideways. Randeep captioned the post in Hindi and wrote, "Choth toh ghootne pe lagi par kuch yaad sa kyun nahi araha (I hurt my knee, but I can't seem to remember why?), while adding a thinking face, wink face, and laughing face emojis." In a report by news agency PTI, Randeep, who is best known for playing the lead roles in films like Highway and Sarbjit, had suffered the injury on the sets of Inspector Avinash while shooting an action scene last month and was admitted to the hospital on March 1. "He underwent surgery last evening. He will be discharged in a couple of days. It is the same knee that he injured while filming Radhe and had to be operated on," PTI quoted a source in their report. Inspector Avinash has been directed by Neeraj Pathak and is based on real-life events showcasing the life of super cop Avinash Mishra of Uttar Pradesh.
Randeep, who has also starred in films like Love Khichdi, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Jism 2, Murder 3, Bombay Talkies, Kick, Rang Rasiya, Main Aur Charles, Laal Rang, Sultan, Baaghi 2, Love Aaj Kal, Radhe, including the Chris Hemsworth action venture Extraction for Netflix, will next be seen as an undercover spy on the revenge drama series CAT. The upcoming crime thriller series is also for Netflix and is being directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, with the plot set against the backdrop of the Punjab hinterlands.
