Telugu star Ram Pothineni was last seen in Puri Jagannadh’s commercial masala entertainer, iSmart Shankar, which turned out to be a blockbuster hit at the box office. His next film would be RED, which is the remake of Arun Vijay’s Thadam, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. This action thriller features three leading ladies including Nivetha Pethuraj, Amritha Aiyer, and Malvika Sharma. The film was initially scheduled to release on April 9, but it has now been postponed to a later date due to the unfortunate corona pandemic.

A section of media had recently reported that the producer of RED has been offered a good price for direct OTT release (digital). Additionally, it was rumoured that Ram Pothineni is in a dilemma whether to wait for the theatres to reopen or release the film directly on digital and TV channels. Reacting to the speculations, Ram Pothineni has now vehemently denied such developments, clarifying that the film would definitely release only in the theatres.

He said that he isn’t in any dilemma as reported by the media. He tweeted, “Nope! #RAPO is not in any dilemma..in fact he’s been chilling at home following the Government’s rules on Social Distancing & Home Quarantine.( like he’s been doing for the past 15 years or so..) & also, he’s waiting to see his fans watch #RedTheFilm on the BIG SCREEN!”. This clarification from Ram Pothineni made his fans happy and excited. Check out the tweet below:
