One of the most anticipated films in recent times, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Darbar under director A. R. Murugadoss had its action-packed trailer released yesterday. Announced to be a grand Pongal treat and coming out in theatres worldwide on January 9, 2020, Darbar being produced by Lyca Productions has music by Anirudh Ravichander and features Nayanthara as the lead heroine followed by Bollywood stars Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babber as the antagonists and Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu in supporting roles.
Expectations for Darbar have been massive ever since the project went on floors earlier this year and the excitement has now shot up for the mass action cop entertainer’s theatrical release after the film’s trailer and audio were unveiled. In that light, broadcasting giant, Sun TV, has now officially revealed that they have acquired the satellite rights of Darbar. Check out Sun TV’s mass announcement below:

Darbar is Sun TV’s third big satellite rights acquisition in less than a month's time after bagging Vijay’s upcoming summer 2020 release, Thalapathy 64, and Vijay Sethupathi’s Tughlaq Durbar. The reputed TV network’s latest announcement has many ‘Superstar’ fans excited after the veteran actor’s blockbuster, Petta, too was telecast on the channel earlier this year and his next venture, the tentatively titled, Thalaivar 168, being produced by Sun Pictures is also expected to be broadcast on the same medium.
