The countdown is on for the motion poster of ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Darbar, which will be released tomorrow (November 7) at 5.30PM in Tamil and Telugu languages by Kamal Haasan followed by National Award-winning actor Mohanlalpresenting the Malayalam version and Bollywood’s Salman Khan bringing out the Hindi edition. An A. R. Murugadoss directorial and produced by Lyca Productions, the Darbar motion poster will also include the ‘Thalaivar’ theme track composed by Anirudh Ravichander with fans expecting it to top what the young music director had churned out earlier this year for the blockbuster, Petta. With the hype for the upcoming action cop drama scaling upwards, sources close to us have now revealed that the Darbar audio and teaser are being planned to be released in the first week of December. Such a decision could be considered by Lyca Productions in light of Rajinikanth’s customary practice of traveling to the Himalayas every year and the reputed banner will want to give a massive double treat for the fans in light of the iconic actor’s birthday on December 12.
Darbar has plenty of big names in its cast among whom are Nayanthara playing the female lead, Bollywood actors Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar as the antagonists, actress Nivetha Thomas, comedian Yogi Babuamong others in vital supporting roles. The film is also Rajinikanth’s first time collaborating with director A. R. Murugadoss and will also see him donning the khakhi after Pandyan in 1992.
