The entire film was shot in a single take with 1,36,228 frames. As a result, the filmmakers had a massive budget put upon them for the filmmaking process. The production team installed 50 sets on a 75-acre land where the film was shot with a non-linear narrative. Before the shooting, a rehearsal was also done for about 3 months in order to get everything perfect and in order.
The film entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for being the first Asian single-shot film. It is touted to be the world's first non-linear single-shot film and is also regarded as the first Asian film to be made without an editor. Director Seenu Ramasamy of Dharma Durai fame heaped praise on the film calling it a lighthouse to Tamil cinema.
