Award-winning Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and his wife Daniella welcomed their second child, a baby girl, over the past weekend. An official statement on behalf of the couple was released by People that read, "Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are happy to announce that Daniella gave birth to their baby girl on July 2, 2022, a little sister to Leo, their first child." Quentin began dating Daniella, the daughter of Israeli singer-songwriter Tzvika Pick, after they first met in 2009 during the promotions of his film, Inglorious Basterds. They later got engaged in June 2017 and tied the knot in November 2018. The couple was blessed with their first child, a son Leo, born in February 2020 and announced in February 2022 that they were expecting their second child.
Back in 2021, Quentin revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he and his wife had chosen their son's name not based on the friendship with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, during their time on Django Unchained, but had named him after Daniela's grandfather. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker stated, "We almost didn't name him that because people would assume I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio." Quentin added, "There's nothing wrong with that, but ... he's named after my wife's grandfather, but also because, just in our hearts, he was our little lion. So he's a lion. That's how we thought about him." Quentin and Daniella have not yet revealed the name of their second child.
On the work front, Quentin is yet to announce his next film after his last directorial, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie released in 2019. It has been widely speculated that the filmmaker might retire from films after his next venture and the wait has since been on among fans regarding his upcoming project.
