Jana Gana Mana is all set to release on April 28 and the film is the second directorial venture of Dijo Jose Antony under the script penned down by Sharis Mohammed. The two talents have previously teamed up for the superhit college drama Queen which was released back in 2018. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead, who reunite in this film after their blockbuster venture in 2019's Driving Licence, and also a brigade of talented actors that include the likes of Mamta Mohandas, Siddique, Vincy Aloshious, Shari, Sri Divya, Dhruvan, Anand Bal, Shammi Thilakan, Raja Krishnamoorthy, Pasupathi and Azhagam Perumal. The film is bankrolled by Prithviraj’s wife Supriya Menon for their home production banner Prithviraj Productions.
The trailer for the movie just dropped and it looks interesting, thrilling, daring, and very promising. The intriguing trailer video sees Prithviraj Sukumaran in the key role and reveals how he fights for justice. "A cop and a criminal have a face to face about their notion of the criminal system." The film features Suraj as a cop, while Prithviraj is seen as one of the suspects in a crime.
The tagline of the film reads Mahatma Gandhi’s quote, “In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place", and that is exactly what is portrayed in the trailer but more creatively and engagingly. Prithviraj also made a major revelation during the promotional event of his upcoming film saying Dijo Jose Antony’s directorial venture will have a sequel and the scenes shown in the previously released teaser and the trailer are actually from the second part of the film which came off as a surprise treat for all fans.
Apart from this movie, Sukumaran will be seen in the multilingual film Salaar, led by Prabhas, and Malayalam film Gold, co-starring Tamil superstar Nayanthara.
