Adipurush is a recent film by actor Prabhas that was released in theatres on June 1. It is based on the Hindu mythology Ramayana and the film was released amidst controversies. Now, the dialogue writer of the film has shared an official statement on his Twitter handle in English and Hindi. The dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla apologized and stated “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush, With folded hands I extend unconditional apologies, May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatana and our great nation." He had also previously released a statement within one week of the release of the film that some dialogues he had written could have hurt some sentiments of people and said it will be revised. Adipurush is based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana and was made with motion capture technology on a huge budget. The film was produced by T Series and Retrophilies and was directed by Om Raut.
Adipurush had collected over Rs.450 million in global box office collection in 10 days of release, according to the makers. The film has Prabhas playing the lead role with Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the important roles. The film was released in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and kannada in 3D format and was mounted on a huge budget of over Rs.500 crores. The film created some controversy as fans pointed out some dialogues in the film hurt the sentiments of Hindu people. Now, the recent statement from the dialogue writer shared after the release of the film has created ripples on social media.
