Prime Minister Narendra Modi met leading Kannada actors Yash and Rishab Shetty along with late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini Rajkumar and producer Vijay Kirgandur in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Sunday evening. The PM is inaugurating the 5-day Aero India show and aviation exhibition at Yelahanka’s air station and met the actors yesterday and a few social media influencers, while also hosting a special dinner for them where they discussed various topics such as cinema and the culture and heritage of the state.
According to reports, PM Modi discussed the role of the entertainment industry in South India, while also appreciating the importance given to women characters in the films during his interaction. Posting photos from his discussion with the Prime Minister, Rishab Shetty, who is seen alongside Yash, Ashwini Rajkumar, and the social media influencers, wrote on Twitter, "Inspiring meeting PM @narendramodi ಠವರೠas we discussed role of Entertainment industry in shaping New India and Progressive Karnataka. With the Aero India show set to continue till February 17, PM Narendra Modi said that the Bengaluru sky is set to witness the capability of a 'New India'. He stated, "Bengaluru's sky is giving a testimony that the new height is the truth of new India. Today, the nation is touching new heights and even crossing it. The sky of Bengaluru is truly witnessing the capability of new India." As for Yash, the Kannada superstar was seen last in K. G. F: Chapter 2 released in 2022, and fans are waiting for an announcement from the actor on his next big film in the days ahead. Rishab Shetty, on the other hand, will begin soon work on the prequel to his Kantara, titled Kantara 2, which will open in cinemas in 2024.
