The Asian Book of Records and India Book of Records have come forward and recognized R. Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal as the first non-linear single-shot feature film. This is yet another crown jewel for the highly renowned unconventional actor and filmmaker R. Parthiban as he is known to think outside the box when it comes to making movies just like how he did with his Oththa Seruppu Size 7 which also entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for having a single person writing, directing, solo acting and producing a film - all by himself.

Parthiban has expressed happiness over getting the Asian Book of Records and India Book of Records recognition and thanked both the organizations for acknowledging his unique attempt. This honor has come ahead of the much-awaited audio launch of the movie, in which top personalities of Tamil cinema were going to take part. Oscar and Grammy award winner A.R. Rahman has composed music for Iravin Nizhal. The music for the film is slated to release on May 1. The film will star the director in the lead role alongside Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anandha Krishnan, and Brigida Saga who will be seen playing supporting roles. The film also boasts a talented crew that includes Academy Award-winning sound designer Craig Mann and VFX supervisor Cottalango Leon.

Iravin Nizhal is about a 50-year-old man looking back on his life and showcases the different stages of this person's life. Parthiban had revealed in an earlier interview that the team put up 50 sets on a 64-acre ground, with a big budget, to shoot the entire story in just a single shot. The actor-director, who has now sent the film to be considered for a screening at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, is now hoping he gets support from the Indian government and the Tamil Nadu government for his efforts.
