One of the most ambitious works from the Tamil film industry in recent times, the upcoming Navarasa produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and Jayendra Panchapakesan, has been announced for an August 6 premiere on Netflix. A major highlight in the anthology film are the nine shorts and each will be depicted on the nine rasas (human emotions), including one that is titled Thunintha Pin directed by Nayanthara's Airaa fame Sarjun KM and has Atharvaa, Anjali and Kishore in starring roles. Think Music have acquired the audio rights for Navarasa's songs and are carrying out extensive promotions, with the 'The Comrade Theme (Dhooramai Kanaa)' being released on Saturday.

Sundaramurthy K S has composed 'The Comrade Theme (Dhooramai Kanaa)' in Thunintha Pin featuring vocals by Udhay Kannan to the lyrics penned by Soundararajan, with the song’s visuals centred around Atharvaa and Kishore. Earlier, the single 'Osara Parandhu Vaa' in Thunintha Pin sung by Vrusha Balu and shot on Atharvaa and Anjali received a largely positive response, with all sights now set on the release of Navarasa next month. Navarasa was conceived in an effort to assist the livelihood of FEFSI Union workers and other daily wage workers in Tamil cinema, who suffered a major setback due to the pandemic.

Apart from Thunintha Pin, promotions for other segments have also begun starting with Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru starring Suriya, Edhiri featured on 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Payasam revolving around Aruvi heroine Aditi Balan. Navarasa also has other segments directed by filmmakers like Priyadarshan, Vasanth Sai, Gautham Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, Rathindran R Prasad, with actor Arvind Swami as well making his directorial debut. Prakash Raj, Siddharth, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Revathi, Rohini, Delhi Ganesh, Riythvika, Ashok Selvan, Prayaga Martin, Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan, Prasanna and Bobby Simha are some of the other major stars who will be seen making appearances in each of the nine Navarasa episodes.
