Sivakarthikeyan's Don became a huge success among the masses and it collected more than 100 crores at the box office, becoming the second SK film to enter the 100 crore club after Doctor. The film received positive reviews from the general audience, maintaining the success streak of Sivakarthikeyan. The film was directed by debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi, a former associate of Atlee and following the success of Don, he has now become a promising name in the industry and all eyes are now on his second film. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Sivakarthikeyan Productions, Don featured Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, marking her second association with SK after Doctor.
SJ Suryah and Samuthirakani played important roles and both of their performances opened to positive response from the audience. Bala Saravanan, Mirchi Vijay, Munishkanth Ramadoss, Kaali Venkat, Radharavi, Sivaangi, and others were also a part of the star cast. The film had music composed by Anirudh Ravichander whose songs turned out to be a big hit among the masses. His background score also added strength to the film, effectively elevating the emotions. That being said, the makers recently released the unreleased bonus track from the film.
The song titled 'Mudhal Naayagan', is sung by Ananthakrrishnan and it is an emotionally intense number that touches your heart in the very first line. The song had a lasting impact on the viewers because of its placement and with the visuals, it did bring tears for the majority of the audiences. Anirudh Ravichander is strong in elevating the emotional quotient of a film and we have seen him do wonders in the past and this 'Mudhal Naayagan' song is also one such occasion. Vivek has penned the lyrics for the track. Sivakarthikeyan's next release will be Prince which is slated to release in theatres for the festive occasion of Diwali.
