Mohanlal's critically acclaimed blockbuster hit, Lucifer is being remade in Telugu as Godfather and the film features Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The first look poster of the film was unveiled this evening and it instantly took the social media by storm. The first look features a classy looking Megastar Chiranjeevi exhibiting his electrifying energy and charisma. Godfather is directed by Mohan Raja, one of the leading filmmakers in Tamil cinema. 21 years after his debut directorial, Hanuman Junction, Mohan Raja has returned to Telugu cinema and this film is expected to have an important place in his filmography.

Produced by RB Choudary's Super Good Films in association with Konidela Production Company, the film has cinematography handled by Nirav Shah and art direction by Suresh Selvarajan. Lady Superstar Nayanthara plays the female lead in this film, marking her third successful association with Mohan Raja after Thani Oruvan and Velaikkaran. Bollywood star hero Salman Khan would be reprising Prithviraj's character from the original version and his scenes with Chiranjeevi are going to be a feast for the fans.
