The film is currently in the post production stages and the team is also gearing up for the extensive promotions that will begin in full swing from September. So far, a teaser and two songs have been released by the makers and the promotional materials have managed to garner good buzz on social media, fetching positive reviews. The most latest release from the makers was the second single, 'Chola Chola', the foot-tapping celebration song, composed by A.R.Rahman.
The song has opened to a favourable reception from the fans and has already found a place in the playlists of music lovers. That being said, the makers have now released a new promo that shows us what went behind the making of the 'Chola Chola' video song. This making video gives us a glimpse of the making of 'Chola Chola' and we see Mani Ratnam and dance choreographer Brindha Master moulding Vikram to get the right shots. The promo has served as a delightful treat for the fans and the new unseen shots have started to do rounds on social media.
Ponniyin Selvan has been made into two parts and the first part will be hitting the screens on September 30 while the details regarding the release plans of the second part are yet to be known. The grand audio launch of Ponniyin Selvan PS 1 is expected to take place in the first week of September and an exciting treat awaits fans. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan features Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Jayaram, Aadukalam Kishore, Rahman, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jaya Chitra, and others form the supporting cast.
