Leading Tamil actor-filmmaker R. Madhavan attended a banquet dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in honor of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France on Saturday, July 15. Gracing the special gala occasion, the actor has posted photos on Instagram and also penned a detailed note praising both world leaders. Expressing his awe at being part of such a monumental event, Madhavan's first picture shows him at the dining table with both PM Modi and President Macron, followed by a video clip in which he is seen clicking a selfie with them both and former French footballer Mathieu Flamini.
Sharing the pictures, Madhavan wrote in his statement, "The passion and dedication to do good for the Indo French relationship, as well as for the people of both countries was palpable and intense during the Bastille day celebration in Paris on the 14th of July 2023. I was in complete awe at the dinner hosted by the President Emmanuel Macron in honor of our Honorable, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Louvre, of both these world leaders, as they passionately described their vision for the future of these two great friendly nations. The positivity and mutual respect in the air was like a loving embrace. (sic)" The popular Tamil actor who made his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022) further stated, "I sincerely pray that their vison and dreams bear fruit for all of us at the desired and appropriate time. President Macron eagerly took a selfie for us while our Honorable Prime Minister very graciously and sweetly stood up to be part of it.. a moment that will be forever etched in my mind for both the uniqueness and impact of that picture. Thank you President Macron and Modi Ji for the incredible lesson on grace and humility. May France and India forever prosper together . Also 14th July 2023 also marked yet another fantastic and successful launch of Chandrayaan 3 with the unfailing Vikas engine built with the help of SEP France by Shri Nambi Narayanan. On the work front, Madhavan has a number of interesting projects in various stages of development that includes his untitled Tamil film with Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Thiruchitrambalam director Mithran R. Jawahar. He is currently working on the upcoming Hindi film Amriki Pandit in which he will share screen space with Thunivu actress Manju Warrier. Madhavan is also announced to be a part of two big biopics starting with one on inventor Gopalswamy Doraisamy Naidu, who is referred to as the 'Edison of India'. The Vikram Vedha actor is also a part of the C. Sankaran Nair biopic starring Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, which will see the Tamil actor reportedly in the role of a lawyer.
