Madhavan was last seen in Maara which released at the beginning of this year, opening to fairly positive reviews. Maara had a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. The trailer of Decoupled series was unveiled today (November 10) and it looks very interesting. The trailer introduces us to the two central characters - Arya (Madhavan) and Shruti (Surveen Chawla) who are married but are in the process of getting separated.
Decoupled is a story of a separating couple navigating through the crazy journey that is marriage. The trailer has several interesting and funny moments to keep the viewers hooked and it looks like a fun-filled drama is on its way. Though the premise of the series is serious, the treatment looks light-hearted and funny, making the trailer an interesting watch. Madhavan's charming screen presence and natural performance are impressive and Surveen Chawla on the other hand lends solid support. Romantic comedy is a genre that usually sells well in the OTT space and on that aspect, Decoupled is already a potential winner.
