Evergreen heartthrob Madhavan did not have any releases in 2019 but he has had quite a busy year and all his efforts are sure to reap him rewards in 2020! He has just wrapped up his maiden directorial venture Nambi: The Rocketry Effect, which is based on the ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. Meanwhile, Maddy has also wrapped up shoot for his upcoming multi-lingual movie Nishabdham, which is being simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and English. He is also working on Maara, the Tamil remake of the super hit Malayalam movie Charlie. Now, we have an exciting update on this project!

It is already known that Madhavan's Vikram Vedha pair Shraddha Srinath will once again be coming together with him for Maara. Now, reports state that Sshivada, who has earlier acted in Nedunchalai and Athey Kangal, will also be seen playing one of the lady leads in Maara. This movie, directed by debutante Dhilip Kumar, is being bankrolled by Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa, under their Pramod Films banner. Ghibran is scoring the music for Maara, which has cinematography by Deepak Bhagwan and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

The Malayalam original Charlie, starred Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy and Aparna Gopinath in the lead with Nedumudi Venu and Soubin Shahir playing important supporting roles. Charlie released in 2015 and turned out to become one of the biggest hits of that year! Let's hope 2020 turns out to be a memorable one for Maddy!
