Canadian comedian Lilly Singh, who shot to fame with her YouTube videos as Superwoman, has revealed on social media that she has been diagnosed with ovarian cysts. The popular YouTuber turned actress posted a video on Instagram informing fans that she has been admitted to a hospital and spent the day in an emergency room (ER). Sharing the video, Lilly said, "Spent the last day in the ER because my ovaries have the AUDACITY to be wielding out. Both of them have cysts. And I'm just out here like REALLY B?! Let me understand this. You're going to make me suffer once a month and then IN ADDITION, stab me in between periods?! LOLOLOLOL. WOW. THE ENTITLEMENT... the NERVE. I'M WEAKKKK...." She further spoke about the pain she was experiencing and said, "No but actually. It hurts and I'm tired lol but I truly expect nothing less than my organs doing the most. After all I am their mother." Several celebrities have been sending in their love to Lilly, including actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who commented on her post, "Praying for you." Popular YouTuber Jesse Wellens wrote, "Sending love. You got this girl", while singer Vidya Vox said, "Omg nooooo! I hope you feel better!" and comedian Brittany Furlan chimed in saying, "Welcome to the club Cyster. Sending love."
Lilly Singh, who has since her YouTuber days made a transition to the world of mainstream entertainment, had hosted the NBC talk show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, which aired from 2019-2021. She was recently seen in the second season of Hulu's comedy series Dollface and will have her next book titled, Be a Triangle: How I Went from Being Lost to Getting My Life into Shape, released in April. Speaking about the book, she said in a statement, "This book captures the personal journey I went on to dive deeper into my life and what I want from it and the result is something I think everyone can learn and benefit from in their lives."
