Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has garnered a massive fan following over the years among film buffs and movie aficionados with his films and is currently awaiting the release of his next big venture, Leo, starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role. The upcoming film is set to open in cinemas on October 19 amidst huge expectations and is the second venture he and Vijay have collaborated on after their box-office money-spinner, Master (2021). With less than a month away from Leo's theatrical release and a grand audio launch being planned to be held in the days ahead, a photo of Lokesh Kanagaraj is now taking social media by storm.
The photo shows Lokesh Kanagaraj looking at his phone, which has caught the attention of the fans for a striking aspect - the wallpaper. In the picture, we see the filmmaker staring at the wallpaper, which is a fan art of Vijay by a digital artist showing the actor holding a large sword, with a hyena also featured in the background. Considering this is fan art, the hyena is a reference to Leo's first look poster, which showcased the wild animal alongside Vijay, who was seen holding a hammer stained with blood after knocking a person's teeth out. Lokesh Kanagaraj has on previous occasions mentioned that his assistants often show him the works of the fans and their artwork, and this latest picture is yet another testimony to the tremendous buzz surrounding Vijay's Leo.
Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo will see 'Thalapathy' Vijay paired with leading Tamil actress Trisha after 15 years and there's a huge excitement among fans to witness them sharing the big screen once again after Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Likewise, the ensemble star cast features several big names starting with Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, while 'Action King' Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy master, and Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas, among others will be appearing in key roles. 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander, who previously delivered chart-topping hit numbers in Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master and has been in sensational form with a string of successes, is also the composer for Leo, and his work so far has been met with a thunderous response.
