Kalidas Jayaram, who got a major breakthrough after delivering a highly impressive performance as Sathaar in the Netflix anthology, Paava Kadhaigal, has officially announced his next film. Yes! The young and talented actor would be joining hands with Udhayanidhi Stalin's wife and director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi for a new film. This film was officially announced last night (June 5) and it has made the fans quite excited. Kalidas tweeted, "Happy to associated with @astrokiru for my next project produced by @riseeastcre @actortanya @Richardmnathan @PentelaSagar @teamaimpr". Karuppan fame actress Tanya Ravichandran will be seen as the female lead and the pairing of Kalidas and Tanya is quite refreshing.

Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi made her debut with the Mirchi Shiva - Priya Anand starrer, Vanakkam Chennai that had music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Later, she directed Kaali which had Vijay Antony, Anjali, and Shilpa Manjunath in the lead roles. This new Kalidas Jayaram starrer will be Kiruthiga's third directorial venture and let us see what she has in store for the audience, this time. This untitled flick will be produced by Rise East Creations and will have cinematography handled by Richard M Nathan of Ko, Angadi Theru, and Comali fame. Richard was also the cinematographer of Kiruthiga's earlier two movies.

This news has garnered good attention on social media. The film is expected to go on floors this year when the Covid 19 situation comes under control. Details regarding the rest of the cast and the technical crew are yet to be known.

Meanwhile, apart from this film, Kalidas Jayaram is also awaiting the release of his next movie, Jack and Jill, which is directed by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan. The shooting of Jack and Jill is completed and the movie is ready for release. Kalidas will be seen sharing screen space with quite a few talented actors including Manju Warrier, Soubin Shahir, Aju Varghese, Indrans, Nedumudi Venu, and others.
