'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is expected to reach the finish line in the days ahead as the final schedule is currently underway after which full-fledged post-production works will commence. Announced to open in cinemas worldwide in January 2023 as a grand Pongal treat, there were several reports stating that actor-politician Khushbu Sundar was also a part of the upcoming film, which is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally under Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. With production for Varisu now taking place in Chennai, Khushbu addressed media persons on Tuesday, October 4, and was asked about her role in the Vijay-starrer.
Addressing the speculations about playing an important character in Vijay's Varisu, Khushbu questioned back the reporters about why they were asking her about the film. Upon being told that she had taken a couple of photos with a few cast members of the film, she said that she had paid a formal visit to the sets. Khushbu further clarified that she took pictures with actors Sarath Kumar and Prabhu as she was shooting nearby for a Telugu film. She further went on to declare that she is not associated with Varisu in any way while adding that she will not speak further about it.
Varisu has 'Thalapathy' Vijay paired with national sensation Rashmika Mandanna for the first time, followed by an ensemble cast featuring the likes of Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Shaam, actress Sangeetha Krish, Srikanth, and Bigg Boss 4 fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, including SJ Suryah in vital roles. Composer Thaman. S is also working with Vijay for the first time, and he is expected to continue his superb form and deliver chart-buster tunes for the Tamil superstar in Varisu.
