Popular Kannada actor B. S. Avinash has joined the cast of Tamil superstar Suriya's next big film, Kanguva, being directed by Siva. Known predominantly for his role as Andrews in the blockbuster K. G. F films, the actor revealed the news of boarding the Tamil biggie being produced under the Studio Green and UV Creations banners. Avinash shared the big update of entering the world of Kanguva on Instagram along with a series of photos of himself with the caption: "There's a period just before you start a movie when you start thinking, I don't know what in the world I'm going to do. It's free-floating anxiety. #kanguva #surya42 (sic)".
B. S. Avinash is the latest name to join the cast of Kanguva and is his second Tamil film after he was announced recently to be a part of 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's tentatively titled VJS 51. No details regarding his role in the upcoming Tamil film are known as yet, with fans on social media speculating that he might be playing a character with negative shades. Announced to be coming out in 10 languages in 3D format, Kanguva will see Suriya paired with Bollywood sensation Disha Patani, who is making her Tamil cinema debut while leading comedy actor Yogi Babu will be seen in a key role.
Expectations for Kanguva have been massive ever since the film was announced in mid-2022, with the motion poster and the title announcement videos receiving a phenomenal response. The film also includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, who is composing the songs and the background score once again for the National Award-winning Tamil actor after their previous collaborations Maayavi, Aaru, Singam, and Singam 2. Gearing up for a grand theatrical release in 2024, fans are now waiting for the highly-anticipated Kanguva teaser, which is expected to come out presumably sometime either this month or on the occasion of Suriya's birthday on July 23.
