Malayalam actress Anna Ben will be making her Tamil cinema debut in the much awaited Kottukkaali alongside Soori under Koozhangal (2021) fame PS Vinothraj's direction. The film recently garnered the status of being the first Tamil venture to have its world premiere at the prestigious 74th Berlin International Film Festival and is being showered with rave reviews. In that light, Anna Ben recently sat down with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus, to talk in detail about Kottukkaali, while also share her views on her working experience in the highly-anticipated Kalki 2898 - A.D, starring Telugu superstar Prabhas.
Explaining the big differences between her two upcoming films, Anna Ben said, "Kottukkaali had on a daily basis 50 people in the set. Kalki has 50 people just in like one (movie set) trailer. It's two extreme ends and it's beautiful. Both are just amazing experiences. This is like a massive film I'm a part of and it's just been crazy. I have stunts. As an actor, I'm just so excited for the contrast I'm having in my life right now." Anna Ben, whose role in Kalki 2898 - A.D remains under wraps, will be sharing the screen with big names in Indian cinema starting with Prabhas, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, iconic Tamil actor 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Pasupathy, among others under Mahanati (2018) fame Nag Ashwin's direction and will feature music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
