Kollywood is having a wonderful Deepavali with two big releases hitting the screens and both running successfully, for the Festival of Lights. Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil and Karthi's Kaithi hit the screens on October 25th and both movies are getting massive collections at the Box Office. Though Kaithi had lesser screens and shows, it is picking up pace and the word of mouth for the movie as well as reviews are unanimously positive. This has resulted in an increase in the number of screens for Kaithi and more people are thronging to the theatres to watch the movie.
Today, a new promo video of Kaithi was released by its makers Dream Warrior Pictures, through their Twitter handle. This video, which has been titled 'All about Kaithi', reveals a lot of interesting details about the film. The video gives out details about Karthi's character Dilli and his emotional journey to see his daughter for the first time ever, after serving 10 years in prison. Narain's cop character is also detailed. The video states that of the total runtime of around 2 hours 27minutes, the climax itself is 2-hours and that it starts after the initial 30 minutes of the movie.
The detailed runtimes of the first and second half are also given. One of the stats from the video is that the movie was shot in 62 days, with almost all of them being shot at night. The story of Kaithi happens in one night and it has been wonderfully detailed in the movie. One more stat also reveals that Karthi did not use any dupes for filming the action sequences. This is indeed an amazing fact, for the movie is high on action and has quite a few risky stunt sequences.
