The team of Thalapathy 64 had recently wrapped the nearly month long Delhi schedule and got back to Chennai. As the next schedule is scheduled to start from the first week of December, the makers have now made a new announcement and it has got the fans excited. Actor Arjun Das who made a significant mark as the antagonist in Karthi's Kaithi has been signed on to play a very important role in the film. Arjun's voice is an additional asset and there has been a great fan following separately for his voice. Arjun will now be seen sharing screen space opposite Thalapathy Vijay and this must definitely be a big leap for the young and budding actor.
It is reported that Malayalam actor Antony Varghese, who was announced as one of the main actors in this Vijay starrer, will no longer be a part. Going by that, it looks like Arjun Das might be the replacement for Antony Varghese. We will have to wait for few more days to know if Arjun is the replacement for Antony Varghese. The makers had revealed yesterday (November 29) that the film's television rights have been bagged by market leader, Sun TV. It has been raining updates from the camp of Thalapathy 64 and the fans are totally celebrating it on social media.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram and Kaithi fame, Thalapathy 64 has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Philomin Raj. Apart from Vijay and the newly announced Arjun Das, the film features an ensemble star cast including 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Ramya Subramaniam, Gouri Kishan, Prem Kumar, Sriman, Srinath, Sanjay, and others.
Produced by XB Film Creators, the film is scheduled to release on April 9, 2020, ahead of the Tamil New Year weekend. The expectations on the film is really high and we can expect Thalapathy Vijay in a completely new dimension.
