Having turned an actor from being a music director, GV Prakash is one busy actor these days. He had 5 releases last year - Sarvam Thaala Mayam, Kuppathu Raja, Watchman, Sivappu Manjal Pachai and 100% Kadhal. Sivappu Manjal Pachai, by director Sasi and with Siddharth as another lead, went on to become a super hit. Even Sarvam Thaala Mayam performed decently well at the box office but rest of the films couldn’t make any impact. But his biggest success in 2019 came a music director, his tunes for Dhanush’s Asuran made a huge impact among film buffs and it was one of the main reasons for the success of the film as well.

GV Prakash also has quite a few other movies lined up for release and he is still signing up movies left, right and centre. Due to corona lockdown, he hasn’t had any releases this year so far. His next release would be Jail directed by Vasantha Balan. It must be noted that GV Prakash made his debut as a music director through Vasantha Balan’s Veyil. This deadly combo is reuniting after a very long time and they have decided to release a soulful melody Kaathodu Kaathanen from the film now. The song is sung by Dhanush and Aditi Rao Hydari.
