Dhanush and director RS Durai Senthilkumar teamed up for the second time for the action entertainer film tilted Pattas and the movie was produced by TG Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. Dhanush played dual roles in the film which had two gorgeous ladies Sneha and Mahreen Pirzada as lady leads. Names like Munishkanth, Naveen Chandra and Sathish played other important roles in the movie. The cinematography was handled by Om Prakash and the editing was taken care by Prakash Mabbu.

Pattas had a grand release in January on the occasion of the Pongal festival sparing against Rajinikanth's Darbar. Pattas opened to mixed reviews from fans and the critics and movie had an average outing. The latest news about Pattas is the newly released video song of the track Jigidi Killaadi. The love track composed by the dua Vivek - Mervin has vocals by Anirudh Ravichandran. Lyrics for this song is penned by Vivek. Jigidi Killaadi is a hit number from the album of Pattas and the song features Dhanush and Mehreen Pirzada.
