Mollywood director Jeethu Joseph made it big with his thriller drama Drishyam, which became one of the first Malayalam movies to become a top grosser across the country. Following the success of this movie, he remade it in Tamil with Kamal Haasan in the lead and this movie - Papanasam, also received a lot of acclaim. It was then remade in Telugu and Hindi as well. Sometime back, it was announced that Jeethu Joseph was foraying into Hindi movies with a new project titled The Body, which is a remake of the Spanish movie El Cuerpo! Now, this movie's release date is out!
The Body, starring Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipalia and Vedhika in the lead, is a murder mystery which has been jointly bankrolled by Azure Entertainment and Viacom18 Motion Pictures! The story of this movie revolves around a rich woman, having a young lover, who is killed and her body goes missing. A Police officer tracks the body which has gone missing from the morgue and this story follows his investigation! The first look and teaser have created a lot of intrigue and the teaser states, "The Body is missing and so is the trailer!"
The trailer of The Body is all set to release in a week and the movie itself would be hitting the screens on December 13! Meanwhile, Jeethu Joseph is busy finishing up the work for his Tamil movie. This movie stars Jyothika and Karthi, bringing the two together on screen for the first time. As we had recently reported, just a couple of days shoot are left in this movie and it would be wrapped up by the end of this month.
