Popular English actor James Michael Tyler, best known for playing the role of Gunther in the classic sit-com, Friends, has passed away and his demise has come as a shocker for all the fans across the world. Tyler was 59 years old when he breathed his last. According to reports, James Michael Tyler passed away on Sunday (October 24) after battling prostate cancer for close to three years. Friends is a sitcom series that has a humongous fan base across the world and Gunther was a character that was unanimously loved by one and all. His one-sided love towards the character of Rachel was widely enjoyed by the fans.
Earlier this year, when the lead cast of Friends joined together for a special reunion episode, James Michael Tyler could not make it to the event as he was getting treated for his prostate cancer. However, he joined the event through a video call and interacted with the central cast of the series. The lead cast of Friends expressed their heartfelt condolences on their respective social media pages on the death of James Michael Tyler.
Jennifer Aniston who played Rachel in the series mourned Tyler's loss by posting, "Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed #JamesMichaelTyler ð". Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe, posted, "James Michael Tyler, we will miss you. Thank you for being there for us all. #jamesmichealtyler".
Similarly, Courteney Cox, who was seen playing the character of Monica Geller wrote, "The size of gratitude you brought into the room and showed every day on set is the size of the gratitude I hold for having known you.
