'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe announced to hit theatres worldwide as a grand Diwali treat on November 4 is one of the most anticipated films in recent times, with the excitement now at an all-time high. Directed by Siva under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, the upcoming film is a mass rural family entertainer and is the third time the iconic star is collaborating with the blockbuster production house after tasting massive success with Enthiran (2010) and Petta (2019). With post-production works currently underway in light of the film's release in the next few weeks, popular Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu, who is speculated to be playing the villain in Annaatthe, took to social media to announce that he has completed dubbing his portions.
Sharing a photo of himself with director Siva, Jagapathi Babu wrote, "Just completed #Rajinikanth sir film. #Annaatthe dubbing in telugu & tamil", while also posting the link of the film's teaser. The upcoming film is the second occasion Jagapathi Babu is starring in a Rajinikanth film after he played the villain in Lingaa in 2014. Furthermore, it is his second association with director Siva after 2019's Viswasam, which fetched him praise from audiences and critics alike. It will be interesting to see Jagapathi Babu share screen space with Rajinikanth in Annaatthe once again considering the two stars compliment well on the big screen. Check out his announcement below:
Annaatthe is currently the talk of the town after an action-packed teaser was released on Friday and has satisfied Rajinikanth fans everywhere, with expectations now that a trailer for the film will be released next. The film has an ensemble star cast and will see Rajinikanth sharing screen space alongside actresses Khushbu and Meena after more than two decades. Annaatthe also has Keerthy Suresh reportedly playing the role of Rajinikanth's sister, while Nayanthara has been paired opposite the star once again after Chandramukhi, Kuselan, Darbar, including a cameo appearance in the 'Baleilakka' song in Sivaji.
