Jaanu is the official Telugu remake of the hit romantic drama Tamil film 96 and the remake starred Samantha and Sharwanand as lead actors. Prem Kumar who directed 96 is also the director for Jaanu and the film is bankrolled by Telugu industry's popular producer Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Sai Kiran Kumar plays the younger version of Sharwanand and Gouri G Kishan was retained to play the younger version of Samantha in the remake. Jaanu had a grand release on February 7th and the movie has opened to positive reviews all-around. With a good start, the movie is expected to do a good job this weekend.
