Prabhu Deva is one busy man! He is juggling between his various acting assignments as well as his projects as a director in Bollywood and coming out with flying colours in all of these. He was last seen on screens in Tamil, in Devi 2, directed by Vijay. The movie was also released simultaneously in Telugu as Abhinetri 2. However, his last on screen appearance was in the Hindi movie Khamoshi, alongside Tamannaah, under Chakri Toleti's direction. It is known that Prabhu Deva was working in a new project with debutante director VS. The title was announced as Oomai Vizhigal by the movie's lady lead - Mamta Mohandas, who is returning to Tamil cinema after a gap of 7 years.
On October 7th, the first look of Oomai Vizhigal was launched by Dhanush, through his Twitter handle. Now, the movie's makers - Maple Films and Creative Entertainers & Distributors, have launched a new poster, on the occasion of Deepavali! This new poster has a bloodied and bruised Prabhu Deva, intensely staring at something or someone. Oomai Vizhigal is the title of a 1986 blockbuster thriller movie which had Vijayakanth in the lead and many other top stars as part of the cast. However, we hear that this new Prabhu Deva movie is not a remake of the earlier movie of the same title.
AH Kasif is scoring the music for Oomai Vizhigal while Vishnu Ramakrishnan is handling the cinematography and K Aaruchamy is taking care of the art direction. The movie's shoot happened in March of last year itself but it was stuck in production due to some unfortunate reasons. However, we now believe that the project will soon see the light of day. Prabhu Deva also has a number of other projects in various stages of production - including his 50th acting venture Pon Manickavel, Thael, Yung Mung Sung and Street Dancer, in Hindi!
