Hong Kong film and television actress Alice Chan is set to tie the knot with her doctor boyfriend Aldous Chan. The couple have been in a relationship for nearly two years, with Aldous popping the big question to Alice with a three-carat diamond ring and 99 red roses during her 48th birthday celebrations on November 21. Reports say the proposal was kept a secret by Aldous with the help of Alice's friends - actresses Rebecca Zhu and Eliza Sam. Soon after the marriage proposal, Alice took to social media to share the big joyous news on Instagram. Posting a photo of her engagement ring, she wrote, "Blessed to have you."
The wedding with Aldous, 44, will be the second for Alice, 48, after she earlier got hitched to Taiwanese businessman James Yen and took a break from acting. However, they got divorced four years later after which Alice made a comeback to the world of entertainment. This will also be the second wedding for Aldous, who has two daughters with his ex-wife. The news of Alice and Aldous' relationship first came to light in the media in July 2019 when the actress was seen holding hands with him in Bali where they were taking part in a medical conference. Upon querying her about it, Alice revealed that she's in love.
Alice Chan became a big name after winning the Miss Asia pageant in 1996. She boarded a deal with ATV next, where she garnered a huge fan following. She then tied up with TVB in 2012 and won the Most Popular Female Character award at the 2018 TVB Anniversary Awards for playing the role of the evil Princess Taiping in Deep in the Realm of Conscience.
