Oh My Kadavule is a film that garnered a lot of attention this year and turned out to be a huge success at the box office. This romantic comedy film earned critical acclaim as well. Produced by Abinaya Selvam’s Happy High Pictures, in association with Dilli Babu’s Axess Film Factory, Oh My Kadavule released for this year’s Valentines Day. Directed by debutant Ashwath Marimuthu, Oh My Kadavule starred Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan in the lead roles. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi acted in an interesting extended cameo which received a good response from the fans.

Even before the release, it was revealed that the film is going to be remade in Telugu and PVP Cinema acquired the remake rights after getting impressed with the film in a special screening. The young and promising actor Vishwak Sen will play the male lead, reprising Ashok Selvan’s role. For the uninformed, Vishwak Sen played the lead role in the recent blockbuster film, HIT and he also has notable films like Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi and Falaknuma Das to his credit. The Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule will have dialogues penned by the super talented director Tharun Bhascker of Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi fame.

This news was officially confirmed by Tharun Bhascker who shared the news through an Instagram story. Tharun is known for penning some beautiful dialogues which we’ve already seen in his films and we can expect him to crack that magic with OMK remake as well. One is not sure if Ashwath Marimuthu will direct the Telugu remake or someone else will helm the project and we will have to wait for a few more days to know about it.

It can be noted that Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu recently spoke very highly of the film, telling that he enjoyed every bit of the film. He was also all praise for Ashok Selvan’s natural performance and Ashwath Marimuthu’s beautiful writing.
