'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer has taken a stellar opening in cinemas worldwide and the response to the mass action entertainer has been nothing short of a highly positive feedback. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar also has chart-topping music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and is en route to becoming yet another blockbuster for the prestigious Sun Pictures banner. With Jailer taking a phenomenal opening in theatres everywhere, Google India welcomed the latest Rajinikanth-starrer with the 'Thalaivar nerandharam' trend (translates to 'leader forever'/'leader is permanent'), which has taken social media by storm.
Earlier in the day, Google India posted a screenshot of the days counting down to Jailer's release from Rajinikanth's last film, Annaatthe, which came out on November 4, 2021, along with the lyric from the 'Hukum' song. The lyric has become a trademark for the iconic Tamil actor's legacy, while also gaining steam on social media honoring him. Google India's post on X has gained a big response from Rajinikanth's ardent fan following, who have been celebrating his big-screen return after two years with his power-packed performance in Jailer.
Jailer has Rajinikanth sharing screen space with several big names among whom Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar and iconic Malayalam actor Mohanlal make cameo appearances, while Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Taramani and Rocky actor Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Pushpa fame Sunil, Tamannaah, and Mirnaa Menon are seen in key roles, with Vinayakan of Mariyan fame cast the antagonist. The film is also the fourth time Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures have collaborated after Enthiran (2010), Petta (2019, and Annaatthe (2021), and the response so far will no doubt leave them all mighty happy. Early reports suggest Jailer has taken a staggering start at the box office and all eyes will now be on the collection report, which fans will be looking forward to in the days ahead.
