Malayalam film director Alphonse Puthren's next big film, Gold, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara was initially supposed to release worldwide on September 8 but was postponed. The film getting pushed at the last minute came as a major disappointment for many, who have since been waiting for an update on the new release date. In that light, Alphonse, who is best known for his films like Neram and Premam, recently addressed a fan's query on social media and revealed that there is still some pending CG work on Gold that requires to be completed.
Alphonse Puthren also stated that the music and the coloring process in Gold are yet to be finished after which he will be sharing the film's release date. He further requested fans to excuse him for the delay and also informed them that he doesn't want to give them a product in a half-baked condition. Alphonse Puthren's latest statement hints at Gold possibly taking some more time to come out in theatres and most likely in another 2-3 weeks. Expectations for the hit Malayalam filmmaker's third big-screen outing are high, especially as the upcoming film is his first release after Premam, which came out seven years back.
