The song that continues to trend at the top of the charts, 'Vaathi Coming' from 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster, Master, recently celebrated one year of its release, with a number of cover versions and dance performances coming out between 2020-2021 from fans and celebrities, including sports superstars. Composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics penned by Gana Balachandar, both have sung the mass foot-tapping number, which is still taking Tamil Nadu by storm. The hit track has also received a big feedback in North India as actress Genelia D'Souza has now put up a video on Instagram of herself dancing to the song from Master.

The most striking aspect about Genelia's 'Vaathi Coming' dance video is that she is seen with her hand tied to a cast after she injured herself earlier this week during a skating practice session. Genelia, who is currently making a recovery, is seen in high spirits in the dance video alongside her husband and Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh, and are joined along by a few of their friends. The bubbly actress has enjoyed a massive fan following across South India ever since she made her debut in director Shankar's Boys in 2003. She subsequently went on to star in hits like Jayam Ravi's Santosh Subramaniam, Uthamaputhiran opposite Dhanush, including twice with Vijay in Sachein and Velayudham. Genelia's chemistry opposite Vijay in both films, especially in Sachein is fondly remembered by a large number of fans to date, with the actress still celebrated as a darling by many. Having gotten married to Riteish Deshmukh in 2012, Genelia has been blessed with two sons - Riaan and Rahyl.

As for 'Vaathi Coming' in Master, the song's video continues to receive a big response on YouTube having registered more than 87 million views to date and is going stronger, with the lyric video as well garnering more than 123 million views. Vijay's Master has revived the Tamil film industry and was the first big film to come out this year for Pongal. The mass masala action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under Xavier Britto's XB Film Creators in association with Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios, had 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist clashing with Vijay on the big screen, with their fiery on-screen chemistry turning out to be the biggest USP for the film.
