A celebrity who often shares on social media her special family moments, Gal in September last year posted a picture with her husband Jaron on the occasion of their 12th wedding anniversary and said, "Happy anniversary @jaronvarsano you’re my one. My only. My everything.. 12 years of marriage feels like a walk in the park with you. To many more to come. I’m yours forever." Similarly, for Valentine's Day last month, Gal put up a throwback photo from when they were young and wrote, "My forever Valentine since 2006." Jaron too posted a throwback moment from their wedding and said, "12 years have gone by since this day. Life is too short when you’re in love. Happy anniversary my love, forever my beating heart."
Gal went on to attain global superstar status after being cast as Wonder Woman by Zack Snyder in the 2016 film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The talented Israeli actress subsequently went on to play and lead the character in 2016's Wonder Woman, which turned out to be a smash success, while also reprising the role in 2017's Justice League and last year's Wonder Woman 1984. She will be seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League after the film was announced to be coming out on streaming on HBO Max from March 18, with plans for a third solo Wonder Woman venture also said to be in early stages of development.
Prior to playing Wonder Woman, Gal appeared in the Fast and Furious films, and is now working behind the scenes as an executive producer on her short-form documentary series, Impact, which will debut on April 19 on the National Geographic channel. Billed to be a six-part series that follows the lives of women in Brazil, California, Michigan and Puerto Rico and other places, the documentary will explore the communities affected by violence, poverty, discrimination and oppression and how they conquer the hurdles in their path to set extraordinary examples of inspiration. During a video call, Gal said, "I keep calling them my women of wonder because they are the true heroes. I go to set and put on my costume and fight to make believe. But they actually are there on the ground, sweating and doing all they can to make the world a better place."
