Following the success of Vikram, Fahadh Faasil will next be seen in the Malayalam film, Malayankunju which has got high expectations among the movie buffs. Malayankunju is directed by Sajimon Prabhakar and produced by Fahadh Faasil's father, Fazil. The highlight aspect of this project is the music which is scored by the legendary A.R.Rahman. The film marks Rahman's return to Malayalam cinema after 30 long years and this is his second outing in Mollywood. Rajisha Vijayan plays the female lead in Malayankunju with Deepak Parambol, Jaffar Idukki, and Indrans in important roles.
Mahesh Narayanan of Malik and Take Off fame has handled the cinematography of the film and he has also penned the screenplay. Arju Benn has edited the movie. The official trailer of Malayankunju was unveiled yesterday (July 15) and it has opened to favourable reviews from the fans and film buffs. Kamal Haasan took to his official Twitter page to send his best wishes to the team of Malayankunju and also added that he is rooting for Fahadh Faasil to win, calling him his child. Sharing the link of the trailer on his page, Kamal Haasan tweeted, "Fazilinde kunju Endeyimanu = Fazil's child is also mine. Let excellence win all the time. Fahad forge ahead. The trailer gives us a gist of the movie and from what we see, it looks like this will be a riveting survival thriller that will keep us on the edge of our seats. Fahadh Faasil's intense performance is effectively elevated by A.R.Rahman's brilliant score and the sensational duo are surely the main attractions in the trailer. Fahadh Faasil and a few people including a baby are stuck in a landslide amidst heavy rains and their ways of survival are what the film is going to be about.
